- The person used the Federal Election Commision, University of Florida Election Lab, and USA Census as sources. They used fundamental data aggregation, ggplot for rudimentary plots, and Adobe Illustrator for annotations and final assembly.
- This image is trying to tell us that every presidential election in the United States (except for 2020) has a higher percentage of eligible voters not vote than the percentage of eligible voters that voted for the winning candidate. The colors used are obviously Red indicating the percentage of all eligible voters that voted republican, blue for democrats, green for third party, and yellow for those who did not vote. The larger the percentage the bigger the rectangle was and you can see the yellow slowly getting smaller as the turnout rate has slowly increased over the past 13 presidential elections. The data came from credible sources so it can be trusted.
- I would have changed the chart so that the left side would be for the percentage of eligible voters that did not vote and to the right would be the republican share then the democrat and I would add the third-party percentage to every election. You can see it is almost like that except that in the 2020 election, Biden is on the left side then the middle is the people that did not vote then Trump. Third party voter share is also only showed in the 1980, 1992, and 1996 election instead of every election.
